CJA Needs You!
Elections for the association are coming up, so we need good candidates to step forward. The following positions will be open: President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary. Any member in good standing is eligible to run for office. If you are interested, but are not sure that you qualify or have questions about the positions, please contact Dr. AnnMarie Cordner (acordner@kutztown.edu) or Professor Jonathan Kremser (kremser@kutztown.edu). Candidates will need to submit a written statement explaining their qualifications and goals if elected. Elections are tentatively scheduled to take place on April 6, so get in touch ASAP!

Elections
The Criminal Justice Association will hold elections for next year on Thursday, April 16 at 11am in Old Main 287. All positions are open (President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary). Statements from anyone wishing to run are needed by noon on Tuesday, April 14. Please email statements to Kyle Krotzer, kkrot808@kutztown.edu. Statements should include some information about yourself and your intentions. Statements should be about a paragraph in length. All statements will be emailed to Criminal Justice majors and minors before the election for review. If you have any questions, please contact the CJA advisors or the current officers.

President of the PA Prison Society
The CJA will be hosting the President of the Pennsylvania Prison Society on Thursday, April 9, 2009 at 11am in Old Main 287. He will be speaking about prisons, the costs to society, the human capital wasted and much more. Please join us for this event. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Lehigh County Juvenile Probation
Paul Werrell from Lehigh County Juvenile Probation will be speaking on Thursday, March 12, 2009 at 11am in Old Main 287. He will discuss the duties of being a juvenile probation officer and possible internship positions. Everyone is welcome to attend.
